If you wish to transfer a domain name from one registrar to another, you’ll need to go through several security steps. One of them is obtaining a unique EPP code from the current registrar company – on the condition that you are the registrant, since the code is emailed to the owner's email account and nobody else can see it. You’ll have to give this code to the new registrar, or else they won’t be able to initiate the transfer process. The EPP codes are case-sensitive and may include numbers or special characters such as commas or dots, which can be easily misentered, so make sure you copy/paste the correct code. As an extra protection measure, the transfer authorization code for a domain may be altered regularly. Certain domain name registrars call this code an Auth key, a domain secret or a domain password as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting

Obtaining the EPP transfer authentication code for any domain name registered through our company under a shared hosting account is surprisingly easy. You will not have to log in and out of different user interfaces, since you can manage both your domain names and your web hosting account from one and the same place – our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel. To get the EPP transfer code for any domain, you only have to visit the Registered Domains section and to click the mini EPP icon, which will be situated to the right of any domain name whose extension supports transfers with a code. Our system will send the code to the registrant’s email address straight away. If you’d like to modify the email, you can do it from the very same section of the hosting Control Panel with only a couple of clicks.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you’d like to transfer any domain that’s registered under a semi-dedicated server account to another company, you can get its EPP transfer authorization code with several clicks of the mouse from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. All registered domains are listed in an independent section of the Control Panel. Quick-access controls will allow you to use separate functions. To obtain the EPP transfer code, you only have to click on the EPP button, which will be to the right of any domain name whose extension supports transfers with an authorization code. Our system will email the code to the domain owner’s email, which is currently listed in the domain’s WHOIS record. If you want, you can change this email address from the very same Control Panel section before requesting the transfer code. The update will propagate right away, so you do not have to wait for the new email address to be published on WHOIS sites.
